Streaming TV to AppleTV
DirecTV to AppleTV. It’s not as complicated as it sounds and may be obvious to someone who has all the parts, but here’s how I pulled it off.

Virgin Mobile FreeFest is on its way this October 6th. I’ve gone the last couple of years and it is always an awesome time. This year, I’m most excited to see Jack White, Ben Folds Five and Skrillex. A few other bands on the list are interesting too, but most I’d not heard of. As a Spotify user, I’ve created a collaborative playlist containing the top few songs by each band in an effort to make sure I don’t regret making my way over to one of the smaller stages to catch a future favorite. Check out the playlist here!
I love my gadgets. I’ve been buying up the latest toys for some time and am the target audience when it comes to products by Apple and now Microsoft. However, Apple has been doing this for a while and I’m invested now. What would it take for me to jump on a new platform (and what that really means is to invest in another set of applications)?
After seeing the dreaded “VMware Fusion internal monitor error” (NOT_IMPLEMENTED report) from VMWare, a quick look around pointed me to VirtualBox as the way to go and I can confirm it was a simple process to get it up and running. I supposed it came off okay, but this impromptu interview totally freaked me out. The camera was two inches from my face and I’d not been in a similar situation before.

I started with an eBook published by Real Time Publishers on the topic of Windows Desktop Administration. I then wrote a second digital book on the KiXtart scripting language with the intention of seeing it go to print. Agilty press was sold to Mann Publishing and did print one edition of the book which was well received. My last book was the first that was straight to print and for a major publisher, unfortunately the topic was Deploying and Administering Windows Vista which was devastatingly unpopular. Each was a great deal of work which took many months to see through. Today I much prefer simple articles and blog posts and have no aspirations to write additional books.
I think it was U2’s Achtung Baby! release in 1991 when I took notice of producer Flood. I started looking through my CD collection and saw his name listed enough of my favorite releases that I started digging to put a catalog of his work together.
